PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The new EDO 6 RT – EDO 12 RT linear monobloc is able to bottle still wines and other food liquids. It has a series of innovative features that make it particularly suitable to meet the needs of small and medium-sized wineries.

                   

Automatic linear machines

This particular solution allows to create an extremely reliable machine, without mechanisms subject to wear. The main characteristics of the linear machine can be summarized as follows:

 

• They guarantee a very fast and extremely economical format change.
• They allow easy use even by a single operator.
• They are easily adaptable to any type of wine thanks to the possibility of regulating all the functions.

Machine structure

The machine is mounted on a sturdy carbon steel frame whose upper part is covered in stainless steel. It consists of:

 

• Stainless steel support uprights.
• Removable lower casings in stainless steel.
• Large plexiglass doors equipped with safety switches to block the machine when opening.
• Adjustable feet
• Chain conveyor belt for automatic bottle handling. Towing excluded.
• Width-adjustable conveyor belt guides.
• Optional: possible towing table and accumulation of full bottles.
• The frame is designed to accommodate the cage distribution and closing system in the future

sparkling wines.

Inert gas injection station

All EDO RT monoblocks are equipped with an inert gas injection station into the bottle before filling.

Wine tank

The filler tank develops horizontally and is designed to guarantee maximum sanitization and total lack of contact between wine and air. Its main features are:

• All connections are made with sanitary fittings.
• Easy cleaning thanks to a removable large diameter sight glass.
• Easy adaptability to different bottle sizes as the tank is height adjustable.
• Inert gas inlet tap to avoid any possible oxidation.
• Gauge
• Electro level that directly controls the wine supply pump.
• Total drain tap with ground connection to avoid dirtying the machine floor.

 

Multifunctional taps

The taps of the EDO RT fillers are extremely simple and functional.

 

• They are connected to the tank by means of a Clamp type sanitary connection .
• They can be easily removed from the tank for easier cleaning.
• Easy adjustability for level adjustment.
• They are designed to fill still, sparkling or spumante wine.

“KIT ISO” module (Optional )

The EDO RT series monoblocks are designed for processing sparkling wines (EDO ISO).

 

• The additional module “KIT ISO” can also be applied subsequently and transforms the filling machines into

isobaric making them suitable for carrying out the various phases of isobaric filling.

• It is also possible to integrate the monoblock with a mushroom capper and distributor and closure cagesat a later date.

 

Rotary capping machine

The EDO RT monoblocks include a capping station that can apply cork or plastic caps flush with the bottle neck. The main features are:

Provision for caps with a diameter of 22- 26 mmand height up to 50 mm., replacement mechanical elements are supplied on request for the use of caps with a diameter of up to 28 mm. The capping operation involves tightening the cap inside a clamp made up of four blocks of Aisi 304 stainless steel. The final diameter to which the cap is tightened is set to a value of 16 mm., it is possible to reduce this diameter to 15 mm. adapting well to the use of synthetic caps. The machine is equipped with a container for collecting the caps, inside which there is a mechanical mixer that ensures their correct orientation. The mechanical parts subject to greater movements are supported by recirculating ball elements, ensuring limited wear and great reliability over time. Bottles of various sizes can be capped up to 390 mm. in height. Bottle feeding by star, torque limiting clutch for rotation release in the event of blockage and rotation speed adjustment by inverter

Pneumatic system

All movements are managed by a pneumatic system made with Pneumax brand components , it includes:

• Electro valves
• Actuator cylinders with flow regulators and end-of-stroke positioners
• Compressed air pressure reducer
• Inert gas pressure reducer

Electrical panel

The electrical panel, made to CE standards, is placed inside the machine and interfaces with the operator via a front panel obtained directly in the machine structure. It includes:

• Siemens PLC with LOGO TDE control keyboard
• Simple and intuitive user interface that guides the operator through the various adjustment phases.
• Power socket for connecting the wine supply pump.
