PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The DHEA series closed presses with central elastic membrane have exclusive construction features and operating results, making them more advantageous and higher performing than normal membrane presses.
The DHEA series presses are also available in the OPEN version with a fully perforated tank.
Better quality of musts
Thanks to the tubular membrane it is possible to operate at lower pressures, around 1.2 bar, with consequent lower stress on the solid parts of the grapes. This involves:
- Less extraction of unwanted substances.
- More harmonious musts.
- Great advantages on less than perfectly healthy grapes.
Much shorter pressing cycles
The use of all 360° of the tank as a draining surface determines a lower thickness of marc, therefore the must is released more quickly. A pressing cycle lasts on average 45 minutes / 1 hour, compared to 2.5 hours for presses that use the diametrical membrane.
Superior membrane performance
Diametrical membranes in nylon and PVC undergo polymerization phenomena over time that “age” them and therefore must be replaced more frequently. Rubber membranes are less subject to this phenomenon and have longer life limits.
Variable trim
It offers numerous advantages such as:
- It helps speed up pressing times.
- It makes loading easier by allowing the press to be filled with larger quantities, without straining the pump.
- It facilitates and accelerates the unloading of the grape marc.
- Optimize washing operations.
Possibility of inertization
The press is equipped with an inert gas connection which can therefore be introduced into the tank both during the loading phase and during the pressing phase, in order to obtain total protection from oxidation without having to face additional costs.
Great savings on purchase
A normal membrane press performs a complete cycle between loading, pressing and unloading, in 3.5 hours. Considering 12 working hours, a 50 Hl press performs 3.4 cycles in 12 hours. Loading 100 q. each cycle it can process 340 q. per day. A DHEA press performs a complete cycle in 2.25 hours, therefore in 12 hours it can do 5.3 cycles. A 32 Hl press loading 70 q. per cycle can process 371 q. per day, therefore a DHEA 32 press works more than a traditional 50 Hl press. The difference in cost between a 32 Hl press and a 50 Hl press is considerable.
Low electricity consumption
Being able to install a smaller press to still process the same quintals of grapes per day also results in energy savings due to the lower installed power.
Made of Aisi 304 stainless steel on wheels, with the following characteristics:
- Closed tank in Aisi 304 stainless steel, PED tested, with external sandblasting treatment. The tank
closed allows for the carrying out, in addition to normal pressing, of macerations under an inert gas atmosphere,
macerations in red with or without oxygenation, carbonic maceration for new wines and cold maceration for white wines.
- Elastic central membrane in non-toxic food grade rubber combined with the closed tank to exploit its entire circumference as a draining surface, thus reducing pressing times to a minimum and consequently the
energy consumption.
- Working pressures up to 1.2 atmospheres which are much lower than membrane presses
diametrical, to increase the quality of the extracted musts.
- Drainage elements in Aisi 304 stainless steel arranged on 360° inside the tank and not only on the
semi-circumference, openable and easily inspectable to facilitate cleaning operations of the machine.
- Variable configuration during the processing phases to obtain maximum performance from the press in every phase
instant of the work cycle, thus reducing pressing times to a minimum and consequently energy consumption.
Loading and pressing phases with the press inclined towards the must collection tank to speed up the exit of the must.
must and optimize the load, without the need for double or triple doors, reducing rotations to a minimum
necessary for a good distribution of the load with consequent better quality.
- Crushing and pressure taking phases with horizontal press to ensure perfect distribution at
ring of material to be pressed around the entire circumference of the tank, so as to always use all the
available drainage surface.
- Unloading phase with press inclined towards the pneumatic door to obtain a fast and complete unloading without
the aid of a double or triple door or helical elements inside the tank.
- Loading and unloading door with pneumatic opening positioned laterally to the cylinder and not centrally. This
solution, combined with the variable configuration of the press, makes the creation of a
double door even if you want to load whole grapes.
- Must collection tank in Aisi 304 stainless steel with quick coupling and release, Garolla 50 outlet connection.
- Internal collector connecting the draining elements to allow the extraction of the must in all the
positions assumed by the press during the automatic pressing cycle.
- Side gutters for collecting must anchored to the frame by means of a quick coupling, perfectly connected to the
outlet nozzles to avoid any possibility of splashes. They are completely removable with a simple
gesture to facilitate cleaning operations.
- Quick coupling for gas injection with the possibility of injecting it into the tank before, during or after the phase
loading even with the machine rotating.
- Aisi 304 stainless steel valve for axial load with Garolla 120 outlet to reduce friction on the
product.
- Built-in air compressor, self-braking gear motor, pinion, crown and chain for rotation of the
reservoir.
- Easy and intuitive to use CE standard touch screen programming PLC, with six pre-set programs and
possibility of using the electronic keyboard to introduce all the variables that the user deems appropriate.
- Luminous and acoustic bell and safety devices compliant with CE standards.
Optionals:
Raising legs:
Possibility to increase the standard height of the press.
Additional port:
Possibility of fitting a second small door for inspection and washing.
Pair of removable rear wheels:
They allow the press to be moved without using a forklift. They must be removed during processing. The press in the standard version is supplied with only the front wheels and must be moved with the aid of a forklift. This optional is only available for the 16-24-32 models.
Automatic pneumatic valve:
Possibility of mounting an automatic pneumatic axial loading valve on the 50-80-100-150 models.
Electric level tank must with pump socket:
It allows the must extraction pump to work automatically. It activates it when there is no liquid and stops it when there is liquid inside the tank.
Must pump mounted on the press:
If necessary, the must pump is supplied already mounted on the press frame.
Automatic car wash system:
It allows the internal washing of the tank to be carried out automatically. During this phase the channels are washed only on the outside and must remain closed. To wash the channels internally, they must be dismantled and washed manually.
Automatic car wash pump:
If necessary, the washing pump is supplied already mounted on the press frame.
Carbonic maceration caps with safety valve:
Stainless steel caps that prevent the must from escaping, should be used when carbonic maceration is performed so that the must and skins remain inside the tank. The safety valve is activated to allow the gas to escape, in the event of fermentation.
Membrane repair kit and door gasket replacement:
Some patches and special glue are provided, in case of a small tear of the membrane inside the tank. Also a gasket for the pneumatic door.
INERT gas kit on must tank, slides, loading valve:
Stainless steel tubes to insufflate CO2 inside the must collection tank, in the chutes and inside the loading valve. The must collection tank and chutes are open as in the standard version (it is not possible to make them hermetic).
Remote control compatible with Industry 4.0.
Macon 50, DIN50, Friederich 40 and Clamp on must collection tank and pump.
Macon, DIN, Friederich and Clamp on axial load valve.
