Transparent quality without compromise

Filtration has always been one of the most delicate phases of winemaking practices and carrying it out without considering the safeguarding of the quality of the wine as a priority can cause irreparable damage.

The FITAN series tangential filters are the only ones to adopt a series of measures to protect the quality of your wine as much as possible.

 

Filter membranesin polypropylene

This type of membrane allows high production. The chemical structure of the membrane is the only one that allows washing with solutions based on both acid and alkaline substances. The sanitization of the membranes and the protection from bacterial attacks are therefore always accurate and safe.

 

Exclusive Reflux system

The Reflux system automatically performs, during filtration, mini membrane washing cycles in countercurrent. Reflux does not involve any loss of time or hourly production. It is carried out without interrupting the work cycles, allowing to greatly extend the filter efficiency times and to limit the number of washings to a minimum. With Reflux you save time, cleaning products and extend the life of the membranes.

 

Oxidation care system

Wine oxidation is the most frequent risk faced by the user of cross-flow filters. The FITAN series filters perform all Reflux phases with inert gas. This gas is used both for the management of wine flows and for its total protection from oxidation.

Both the wine to be filtered and the already filtered one are automatically in an inert atmosphere for the entire duration of the filtration.

 

Automation at the highest levels

All the working parameters and all the functions of the FITAN filters are managed and monitored by a microprocessor. The pressure, flow, temperature and efficiency levels are constantly available to the operator who is promptly notified in case of anomalies.

The same thing also happens during the delicate washing and conservation phases of the membranes.

Frame made entirely of Aisi 304 stainless steel on wheels, Aisi 304 stainless steel pipes, complete with the following components:

 

  • Feed pump in AISI 316 stainless steel.
  • Recirculation pump in AISI 316 stainless steel.
  • Lung cylinder for filtered wine in AISI 304 stainless steel.
  • Automatic membrane cleaning counterflow with inert gas push controlled by timers.
  • Motorized valve with modular opening for counter flow regulation.
  • Alarm for lack of wine to filter with automatic stop of the machine.
  • Control panel in Aisi 304 stainless steel compliant with CE standards.
  • Hollow fiber filter membranes in polypropylene with AISI 316 stainless steel housing.
  • Filtered wine flow indicator.
  • Butterfly valves with self-locking handles.

 

FITAN cross-flow filters have been designed to manage the filtration cycle in a completely automatic way. Only the emptying and unloading operations are carried out with the contribution of the operator. With this version of cross-flow filters it is possible to obtain a perfect balance between performance and purchase price.

The main advantages offered by the FITAN filter are:

The accurate and reliable automation with which the filter is equipped allows to maintain high performance and therefore to reach good autonomy before having to proceed with the cleaning phases.
